A magnitude 3.7 earthquake was occurred Friday afternoon 44 miles south of Larsen Bay, according to U.S. Geological Survey preliminary data.

The temblor was reported at 3:59 p.m. and was 8.6 miles below the surface.

There were no immediate reports of damage.

Last week, a 4.4 earthquake was reported 41 miles west southwest of Larsen Bay.
