Douglas Descioux, 47, was sentenced in Kodiak superior court Jan. 27 for two felony counts involving attempted sexual assault and attempted sexual abuse of a minor.

The first count of attempted sexual assault in the second degree netted him a sentence of 12 years with 10 suspended.

A second count of attempted sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree added 30 years with 15 suspended.

Descioux won’t be eligible for parole until he has served at least six years in prison.

He was also ordered to 20 years of probation after his incarceration with conditions including registering as a sex offender, having no unsupervised contact with females under 18, submitting to a DNA database, not consuming alcohol and not to accessing the internet without the permission of a probation officer.
