Posted: Wednesday, April 17, 2019 10:15 am

The Kodiak Island Borough School District has been analyzing its cost savings in light of a projected $1.87 million shortfall in Fiscal Year 2020, but it has also prioritized some necessary expenses.

While updating the public on Monday, Superintendent Larry LeDoux noted that the district has made some savings in its budget with the introduction of iPads, which he said saved between $300,000 and $400,000 due to the integration of technology in classrooms.
