Police: Don't fall for electric bill scams

The Kodiak Police Department is warning residents not to give sensitive information such as credit card numbers over the phone to callers requesting immediate electric bill payment.

According to a Nixle alert from KPD, callers have told Kodiak Electric Association that customers are receiving calls “demanding immediate payment or their electricity would be cut off in 5 minutes.”
