The two people accused of robbing a man and stealing his pants in July had their robbery charges dropped.

Cynthia Bean, 40, and Joseph Iannon Jr, 47, were accused of robbing a man of his pants and thousands of dollars in cash while he was sitting downtown near the Safeway liquor store.

Bean faced charges of second-degree robbery, fourth-degree assault and third-degree theft, but her case was dismissed Oct. 23.

Iannon faced charges of second-degree robbery, fourth-degree assault and sixth-degree drugs misconduct. His charges were reduced in a plea deal. Iannon pleaded guilty to the fourth-degree assault charge and the other charges were dropped.

Iannon was sentenced to 300 days in jail (190 days suspended) and was fined $2,500 ($2,000 suspended). He will be on probation for three years upon release.
