KODIAK — The Alaska Marine Highway System ferry Tustumena was delayed Friday by unexpected maintenance in Kodiak.

According to AMHS, the ship’s main engine bearing sleeves were running hot, requiring their replacement.

The Tustumena departed Kodiak at midnight Saturday morning and is running a slightly altered schedule. Travelers are advised to check with AMHS for precise details.
