School district early education team briefs school board on autism

The number of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder has been on the rise for years, but the Kodiak Island Borough School District’s early education team have adapted to tackle the challenge.

That team explained the trend, as well as provided details on autism and recommendations the district could implement in its classrooms, to the Board of Education on Monday.
