KHS graduate wins $10K scholarship

A recent Kodiak High School graduate is one of two individuals in Alaska to be awarded a Live Más Scholarship from the Taco Bell Foundation. According to a news release, Rafael Bitanga received $10,000 to financially assist him during his future studies in culinary arts and business at Cornell University.

This year, Taco Bell the Foundation is awarding $4.6 million in Live Más Scholarships to 531 students and employees across the country. There were 13,000 total applicants to this year’s scholarship, and Bitanga is one of only two winners from Alaska.
