Posted: Thursday, March 28, 2019 9:30 am

The Kodiak Island Borough Assembly paved the way for the possible paving of a mile of Otmeloi Way, a state-owned road, following a robust discussion and approval of a resolution.

The resolution authorizes Borough Manager Michael Powers to submit an application to the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities for federal Community Transportation Program funds to help pay for the project. The resolution also authorizes Powers to sign a Memorandum of Agreement with the state subject to Assembly approval.
