Ozzie Osbourne, whose real name is John Michael, was born Dec. 3, 1948. He is an English singer, songwriter and TV personality.

He became popular in the early 1970s as the lead singer of Black Sabbath. His success earned him the nickname “Godfather of Heavy Metal.” He was inducted into the U.S. Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Fame.

In the early 2000s, he became a TV star, as himself on the MTV show “The Osbournes.”

I like to listen to Ozzy often. His music is really rockin’ and I like his voice a lot.

I’ll be playing his song “Time After Time” on this Monday’s show. Hope you like it!
