In 24 hours, Kodiak’s COVID-19 positive case count has increased by two.

The Kodiak Emergency Services Organization announced Friday morning the 12th positive case on the island. The 11th positive case was announced Thursday afternoon. Both cases are residents and travel related.

Kodiak public health officials have made contact with the individuals and will continue to monitor their condition. The individuals are isolated, and a contact investigation is underway, Friday’s release said.

According to the Kodiak COVID dashboard, there are only three active cases on The Rock. The other nine cases have recovered.
