Kodiak reported one new case of COVID-19 on Wednesday. The case was a Kodiak resident who had traveled recently, according to a press release from the Kodiak Area Emergency Services Organization. 

The case brings the archipelago’s total to 96, 13 of which are considered active. 

Alaska reported 143 new cases of the virus Wednesday. The state has recorded 10,171 total COVID-19 cases, 5,324 of which are considered recovered and 4,783 are considered active. 

338 Alaskans have been hospitalized and 64 have died, four of whom have died in the past week. 

Of the 143 cases reported yesterday, 97 were in Anchorage, 13 in Fairbanks-North Star Borough, five in Juneau, four in the Kenai Peninsula Borough, four in Nome, four in the North Slope Borough, four in the Northwest Arctic Borough, three in Mat-Su, two in Bethel and one in the Bristol Bay and Lake and Peninsula Borough Area.
