Vicki Horton Hester, former Kodiak Resident

Vicki (Horton) Hester was born May 13, 1947, in Wenatchee, WA. She passed away on October 29th, 2018 in Morton, WA where she lived with her daughter while receiving cancer treatment. She is survived by her husband, Walt Willett; her daughter, Heidi McNeely; son in law, Ward Mcneely; her grandson, Max Gatter; her sister, Nan Missal and husband (Rob); her sister-in-law (Merrill); 4 nephews; 1 niece; 1 great nephew and 2 great nieces. 

Vicki went to Monitor Grade School, Cashmere High School and received her AA at Yakima Jr. College. While working summers in Alaska she fell in love with its beauty and serenity. She lived in Kodiak, AK for 43 years and only left it to share her last few years with her family in the “lower 48”. She retired from the Kodiak School District and then worked for 8 years flagging for Brechan Ent.
