Peter M. Lyse died peacefully on September 13, 2018, in the comfort of his home with his wife of 48 years by his side.

Born in San Mateo, CA in 1936, Peter spent his formative years in Wilbur, Washington. He always had a love of music, with a special affinity for classical and opera. He studied classical violin, and performed in the Spokane Philharmonic Orchestra and the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra in his high school and college years. After enlisting in the Army in 1958 he was assigned to the 75th Army Band as a trombonist and had the honor of playing for Presidents Truman, Eisenhower and Kennedy.
