Fe Patacsil-Abad, a lifelong resident of Kodiak, Alaska, passed away on August 19, 2020, at Kodiak Island Medical Center at the age of 77.
Fe is survived by her daughter Vanessa and grandson Juwan. She is predeceased by her husband Ernesto C. Abad; her parents Anselmo G. Patacsil and Monica Alvarado-Patacsil; brother Jaime A. Patacsil; and sisters Adelina Patacsil-Roa, Corazon Patacsil-Ayson and Normaluz Patacsil-Reyes.
Fe was born in San Jose City, Nueva Ecija. She graduated from San Jose Colleges with a degree in education. She received her master’s degree at Far Eastern University. She worked as a teacher in one of the public schools in her province, and also worked as a principal. Fe came to Kodiak in 1981 with her husband who was in the United States Coast Guard. Fe worked many years at the National Bank of Alaska/Wells Fargo where she later retired.
Fe is a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and a friend. She loves spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
A viewing is scheduled on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at Kodiak Funeral Chapel, 303 Erkskine Ave., Kodiak, Alaska, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Mary’s Church at from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
