Theresa Marie King, born in June 1964, passed away in January of natural causes. Services will be held at the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church on Feb. 4 at 6 p.m. for the memorial service and Feb. 5 at 2 p.m. for the funeral, followed by the grave site service at Kodiak Cemetery.
Destin Z. Alexanderoff Maloney Friccero died unexpectedly on Dec. 10, 2019. Born Feb. 11, 1995 in Kodiak, he attended North Star Elementary and St. Mary’s schools and graduated from Kodiak High School.
Keith Alan Johnson died Dec. 5, 2019, due to complications of diabetes. Keith was born Oct. 5, 1959 in Ishpeming, Michigan and grew up in Republic, Michigan. He was the third of eight children born to Kenneth and Sonja Johnson.
Betty Geraldine (Larsen) Nelson was born in Seattle, Washington, on Feb. 29, 1932 to John L. and Bertha V. Larsen. She grew up in Anton Larsen Bay and was a granddaughter to Anton Larsen. Her family relocated to Afognak Village.
Thomas Malmberg died Sept. 4, 2019, in Amberg, Germany. At one time or another he worked as a ranch hand with his dad and each of his brothers in the Sandhills of Nebraska. He graduated from Gordon High School as a champion wrestler in 1967 and was drafted into the military in 1968.
