Obituary: Jesus Guevara

01/24/44 — 4/29/20

Jesus Guevara was 76 years old when he peacefully passed away surrounded by his loved ones on April 29, 2020. He was born and raised in the Philippines and attained the luxury of traveling around the world while working as a merchant marine. He married Alice Guevara almost 30 years ago with whom they had two boys, JR and Frankie Guevara. Prior to his marriage with Alice, he had two sons, Alfredo and Adrian Guevara. In 1995, he moved to Kodiak Island with Alice and raised JR and Frankie. With great social skills, he quickly became well known in the community as the life of the party and always put others before him. Jesus is survived by his wife, Alice; their children, JR and Frankie; his brother, Frankie (deceased); and his sisters, Josefa, Nancy, Alicia and Debbie (deceased)

Alice: “Jesus was a kind, loving and caring husband. His selflessness was immeasurable and will always be the love of my life.”

JR: “My dad was a smooth talking, snazzy dressing legend. He was like my ‘superman.’ Everything he did for us will never go unappreciated. Not a day goes by where we don’t think of you.”

Frankie: “My dad was the best role model. He was funny, kind and confident. Knowing that he is watching over me, I will continue to make him proud.”
