Conniedan R. Camama

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Conniedan R. Camama graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

She is the daughter of Darilo Camama of Kodiak.

Camama graduated in 2009 from Alaska Military Youth Academy, Fort Richardson.

Margaret (Maggie) Schmitt, a 2008 graduate of Kodiak High School, will be inducted into Delta Epsilon Sigma, the national honor society for Catholic Colleges and Universities, at the St. Joseph College of Indiana’s annual academic awards ceremony on Sunday May 1. Delta Epsilon Sigma is a national scholastic honor society for students, faculty, and alumni of colleges and universities with a Catholic tradition.

It was founded in 1939 to recognize academic accomplishments, to foster scholarly activities, and to encourage a sense of intellectual community among its members.
